Insurance Claims & Disputes

When accidents happen, people expect their insurance company to cover their damage.  That is, after all, why you purchased insurance in the first place.  Unfortunately, getting your claim paid is not always as simple as submitting the proper documentation to your insurance company.  When an insured party submits a claim, the insurance company either accepts the claim and pays it, denies the claim, asks for more time to investigate, or reserves their rights to later deny coverage.  All of these situations may require an experienced insurance claim attorney.  Our firm devotes the majority of its practice to insurance claims and disputes.

We handle insurance issues from before a claim is made through the end of litigation.  The vast majority of our first-party insurance cases are handled on a contingent fee basis, which means that if we don’t recover from the insurance company, you don’t owe us any money.

We represent policyholders and parties seeking coverage for their claims in all areas of insurance law, including the following areas:

If the insurance company denies coverage, reserves its rights, offers an underpayment of a claim, or delays payment of a claim, you need an experienced attorney who will negotiate your position and, if necessary, litigate the dispute.  Insurance companies have attorneys working for them and you need an experienced insurance coverage attorney on your side. To protect your rights, it is critical to hire experienced insurance attorneys who understand the claims process and who are experienced in the courtroom.

Usually, our clients ask us to get involved in the following types of situations:

If you have an issue with an insurance company, give us a call.  We’ll explain whether we can help and the costs you’ll incur, if any.  As explained above, the majority of our cases are handled on a contingent fee basis, so if we don’t recover from the insurance company, you won’t owe us any money.  Also, most successful claims are entitled to attorney fees under Florida Statute Section 627.428, which means if we are successful our fees will be paid by the insurance company.
